Katrina Hill has received just about every type of military and academic accolade there is and has demonstrated leadership capabilities throughout her time in the service. In May 2025, Hill will retire from ASU as a professor and department chair of naval science, a position she has held since August 2022.
A team of ASU students have been working to create an inflatable lunar landing pad as part of NASA's 2024 BIG Idea Challenge and will present it at a forum in Las Vegas Nov. 11–12.
