ASU assistant director keeps Women’s Final Four running smoothly behind the scenes

Krystina Mallon of Sun Devil Athletics is overseeing ASU’s role as host school for the NCAA Women's Final Four — a task involving myriad behind-the-scenes details, from overseeing practice sites to making sure locker rooms are stocked with teams' preferred snacks. It's a lot to manage, but she says being involved in a championship at this level “is one of those unique opportunities that don’t always come around.”

How a retired public affairs instructor landed in the Cactus League Hall of Fame

The Cactus League Hall of Fame regularly inducts high-profile people who never ran the bases in spring training. Past hall-of-famers include broadcasters, photographers, two former Arizona governors and a ballpark organist. This Saturday, a retired professor of practice from ASU's School of Public Affairs joins the list of honorees for his work to save the Cactus League.
