Arizona State University isn’t just entering a new era with its move to the Big 12. The fan experience for Sun Devil Football games this fall will be new and improved, as well.

Teens learn to ‘call the game’ at Cronkite School camp

Middle and high school students are invited to spend fall break learning the basics of sports broadcasting and play-by-play reporting at a two-day camp Oct. 10–11. The camp is hosted by ASU's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in partnership with FOX Sports Arizona and the Arizona Coyotes.

Sun Devil football head coach inspires student journalists with pep talk

ASU football Head Coach Herm Edwards is as comfortable in front of a microphone as he is on the gridiron. There are correlations between the two, he said during a talk titled “Inside the Huddle with Herm Edwards” that kicked off the fall 2019 Must See Mondays speaker series at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication on ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus. The December 2017 hire also serves as a Cronkite professor of practice and has experience as an ESPN analyst.

MLB Commissioner Emeritus Bud Selig to launch new book at ASU Law event

Former MLB Commissioner and Distinguished Professor of Sports in America at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, Allan H. (Bud) Selig, will have a public fireside chat and book signing at ASU Law to launch his new book "For the Good of the Game: The Inside Story of the Surprising and Dramatic Transformation of Major League Baseball." At a special event taking place Thursday, Sept. 12, Selig will share insider information about one of the most dramatic periods in the history of Major League Baseball.
