<p><em><strong>Team hosts ASU Day Aug. 27 </strong></em></p><separator></separator><p>Should the fans wear maroon and gold, or teal and purple?</p><separator></separator><p>Die-hard Arizona Diamondbacks fans who happen to be part of the ASU community might have a difficult decision come Aug. 27.</p><separator></separator><p>That Sunday has been declared ASU Day at Chase Field. The Diamondbacks will take on the Los Angeles Dodgers at 1:40 p.m., and the team is “inviting ASU fans to show their Sun Devil pride,” says Shaun Rachau, senior director of special programs and events for the Diamondbacks.</p><separator></separator><p>It will be a day of Sun Devil and Diamondbacks rah-rah. Sparky and the ASU cheerleaders have promised to be on the field, and an ASU celebrity will throw out the first pitch.</p><separator></separator><p>Though it’s still to be decided who will win the Diamondbacks-Dodgers game, on thing is for certain: ASU and Arizona’s young children will be victorious.</p><separator></separator><p>During the game, Qwest Communication’s department of Corporate Social Responsibility will present a check for $30,000 to ASU for early childhood education research.</p><separator></separator><p>Tickets to the game will be $8 for upper-level tickets (sections 328-330, where the normal price is $11), and $35 for Insight Diamond Level tickets (sections 218-223), where the tickets usually cost $40.</p><separator></separator><p>Additional discounts apply for groups of 30 or more.
