Redshirt freshman Chace Eskam got his first career victory in an exciting bout at 197 pounds against Stanford’s Alan Yen in the 197 pound class.

Heavyweight Levi Cooper prevailed over Stanford’s Dan Scherer in an overtime match.

In the 133 pound class Shane McGough pinned Jordan Bryan of Stanford. The Sun Devils will now have about three weeks off to prepare for the Pac-12 Championships, set to take place in Boise, Idaho, beginning Feb. 26.

No. 4 ranked Stanford overpowered Arizona State for a 62-49 win, Feb. 2. Kali Bennett had six blocked shots in the game and now owns ASU’s single season record for blocked shots with 58. Kym Hampton set the old record of 55 in 1980-81.

The Feb. 4 game vs. Cal was the annual Pink Out game, to raise breast cancer awareness – so pink became the accent color for many. Kali Bennett continued to extend her ASU record for blocked shots in a season, adding four more, and 13 points as the Sun Devils lost to the Bears, 67-62.

With just under two minutes remaining in the game and ASU trailing by four, Promise was substituted in for defense and immediately produced a steal. The women head for Utah for a game, Feb. 9 and meet Colorado on Feb. 11. The men’s team host Utah, Feb. 9 and Colorado, Feb. 11, at Wells Fargo Arena.
