Nakai named Arizona Tribal Policy Advisor


<p>Katosha Nakai, a graduate of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law Class of 2003, recently was appointed by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer as Policy Advisor on Tribal Affairs.</p><separator></separator><p>Nakai, who filled the position on March 11, acts as liaison between Arizona's 22 tribal governments, other tribal interests and the governor.</p><separator></separator><p>Prior to taking office, Nakai specialized in tribal affairs with Lewis and Roca LLP in Phoenix, focusing on government regulation, infrastructure and resource development. She also has represented non-profit interests, corporations and small businesses, has knowledge of matters relating to environmental law, such as water, mining and natural resources, and is experienced in gaming issues.</p>
