'Journal' reports on post-graduate fellowships

The Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law's year-old Public Interest Post-Graduate Fellowship program was featured in the Aug. 7 edition of the Phoenix Business Journal.

In an article entitled, "ASU law school creates fellowship program for recent graduates," reporter Stephanie Riel quoted Dean Paul Schiff Berman as saying that, in a tough job market, the program helps students make industry connections that could lead to job offers.

It did for Saba Bazzazieh, a May 2008 graduate whose fellowship at the Arizona Supreme Court helped get her foot in the door at the Chandler law firm of Rosette & Associates, where she currently works.

"It helps you build the repertoire you need," Bazzazieh said.
