As Arizona faces rising temperatures and more frequent extreme weather, ASU research is helping identify practical solutions to support one of the state’s most essential workforces.

Heat pollution from data centers can boost air temperatures in downwind neighborhoods by as much as 4 degrees Fahrenheit, ASU researchers report in a new study conducted in the Phoenix metro area. The researchers aim to help develop solutions that could significantly reduce downwind impacts.
