The Sustainability Consortium receives 2024 President's Award for Sustainability
The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) has been honored with the 2024 President's Award for Sustainability from Arizona State University, recognizing the organization's outstanding contributions to fostering innovative solutions for global sustainability challenges.
TSC is a global organization that is transforming the consumer goods industry by using sustainability science and collaboration to deliver more sustainable consumer products. Utilizing science-based tools, services and an extensive stakeholder network, TSC envisions a world where all consumers can experience the benefits of products without causing harm to people or going beyond the limits of our planet.
The President's Award for Sustainability, part of ASU's commitment to celebrating innovative solutions that yield real-world change, officially acknowledged TSC's significant impact in driving sustainable practices across industries. TSC, which recently headquartered at the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory at ASU, will be formally recognized at the President's Recognition Ceremony on Dec. 6 alongside other recipients in categories including global engagement, innovation, social embeddedness and transdisciplinary collaboration.
"We are deeply honored to receive this prestigious award from Arizona State University," said Christy Slay, CEO of TSC and a senior Global Futures scientist in the Global Futures Laboratory. "This recognition underscores the collective efforts of our staff, board and members to create meaningful change towards a more sustainable future. It reinforces our commitment to our mission, ‘all products sustainable,’ through innovative solutions that address critical environmental and social challenges across global supply chains."
TSC has been at the forefront of product sustainability research and implementation, working with diverse stakeholders to create more sustainable consumer products since 2009. TSC's work spans multiple industries and has led to significant advancements in sustainable supply chain management, product design and consumer education.
Kevin Dooley, distinguished professor of supply chain management at the W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU and chief scientist of TSC, said the award is a testament to TSC’s dedication to rigorous, actionable sustainability research.
"Our work bridges academic insights with practical industry applications, driving real-world impact," said Dooley, also a senior Global Futures scientist. “We're proud that ASU has recognized the value of our collaborative approach in addressing complex sustainability challenges."
This award celebrates TSC's past achievements and sets the stage for future initiatives. The TSC team, which recently published their 2024 annual report, remains committed to expanding impact, fostering collaboration across sectors and driving innovation in sustainability practices.
