Women's golf ranked No. 1 by Golfweek


<p> The Arizona State University women's golf team has been ranked No. 1 by the publication Golfweek. The Sun Devils return three starters from their NCAA Championship run and are bringing in five talented freshmen.</p><separator></separator><p>In addition to the team rankings, the Sun Devils also have several listed in the individual rankings. Returning Pac-10 and NCAA West Regional Champion, <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/ciganda_carlota00.html">… Ciganda</a>, comes back for her sophomore year and is listed at No. 2 in the preseason after receiving first-team All-American honors last season.</p><separator></separator><p><a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/murcia_juliana00.html">J… Murcia</a> is listed on the second-team preseason rankings. Murcia, who earned her first medalist honors last season at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, earned second-team All-American honors from the NGCA last season and was a first-team Pac-10 selection.</p><separator></separator><p>Two Sun Devils are listed on Golfweek's Preseason Third Team. Johnson, who was a finalist at the U.S. Amateur this summer, was also listed as the No. 2 freshmen in the preseason rankings.
