Women's basketball announces promotions for the 2007-2008 Home Season
<p>TEMPE, Ariz. - The 2007-2008 Arizona State University Women's Basketball home season will feature many promotions this season, including discounts for groups, the 2nd annual Pink-Out/Breast Cancer Awareness game, and a Sell-Out game. In addition to these promotions, a canned food drive, gift drive, and 2nd annual Sparky's Kids to College Field Trip highlight this season's community outreach initiatives. Multiple nights throughout the season will feature exclusive giveaways such as trading card sets, t-shirts, pom-poms, and the Wells Fargo commemorative poster series.</p><separator></separator><p>Groups of 15 or more will receive $2 admission per person at any home game this season. Fans may pre-order group tickets and receive exclusive group benefits including team posters, autographs, locker room tours, and a chance to participate in a game-day promotion. Group tickets can be purchased by calling 480-727-0000.</p><separator></separator><p>Fans can make history this season by selling out Wells Fargo Arena on Sunday, January 20th when the Devils take on Pac-10 rival, Stanford, at 2:00 p.m. Fans who cannot attend the game are encouraged to help by donating tickets back to ASU Women's Basketball for distribution to local youth organizations. This is your chance to help ASU win the 2008 NCAA/Pac-10 "Pack the House" challenge. Representatives from local breast cancer awareness organizations will be available to meet with fans about participation and volunteer opportunities in the valley. Additionally, the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) is also hosting their 2nd annual Think Pink week February 8-17, 2008 and Arizona State is just one of the 350 schools participating.</p><separator></separator><p>The home season tips off Thursday, November 8th at 6:30 p.m. when the Sun Devils host Olympic gold medalists Lisa Leslie, Diana Taurasi, Sue Bird and other outstanding members of the USA National Team at Wells Fargo Arena. Following the game will be an autograph session with members from both the Sun Devil team and the USA National Team. Prior to the game, the 2007 WBNA Phoenix Mercury Championship trophy will be on display. Great season tickets are still available for the 18-game home stand. Thursday's game marks the annual Select-A-Seat event which allows fans to view season ticket seats still available for purchase.
