Stanford top Sun Devil wrestling on Senior Day

The Arizona State University wrestling team concluded its regular season schedule at home Sunday afternoon as the visiting Cardinal of Stanford jumped to a 12-0 lead before winning the dual, 28-16, on Senior Day inside Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe. The Sun Devils finished the year with a 9-8 overall record and 3-5 in the Pac-10 while the Cardinal closed out 2008 with a 13-4 record and 6-2 in the league.<separator></separator>The dual opened at 125 pounds with SU winning by forfeit before Porfirio Madrigil pinned <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-wrestl/mtt/schavrien_todd00.html"… Schavrien</a> in 6:44 to build a 12-0 lead.
