ASU grad named '09 Social Worker of Year


<p>Cindy Vogt Anderson, an ASU School of Social Work graduate, recently was honored as the 2009 New Mexico Social Worker of the Year by the New Mexico chapter of the National Association of Social Workers for her work with the mentally ill geriatric population.</p><separator></separator><p>She is the Life and Family Enrichment Division Director for nonprofit Outcomes, Inc., in Albuquerque, N.M., and helped launch the ISIS (In Support of Infirm Seniors) project that provided in-home services for chronic and severely mentally ill senior citizens. She also oversees the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren program and a senior peer counseling program.</p><separator></separator><p>Anderson received a Master of Social Work in 1986 from ASU.</p>
