Since 2007, Anderson has gained extensive experience in communications, media relations, marketing, nonprofit leadership, event planning, and donor engagement at ASU. She is currently the Executive Director of Branding and Communications for the Thunderbird School of Global Management. Previously, she served as Director of Communications for the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and as Manager of Marketing, Communications, and Stakeholder Relations for the ASU Lodestar Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Innovation. She also held roles as Director of Alumni Relations for the W. P. Carey School of Business and communications/event manager for the ASU Alumni Association.
Before joining ASU, Anderson was the Communications Coordinator at the Health Industry Business Communications Council, a nonprofit focused on improving healthcare delivery through electronic communication devices. She was also part of the strategic communications team at Honeywell's Defense & Space Electronic Systems campus.
A fifth-generation Arizonan, Anderson is dedicated to enhancing Arizona's competitiveness in business and nonprofit sectors. She has held leadership roles in the Sun Devil Club’s Young Professionals Group, the ASU Young Alumni Chapter, Valley Leadership Class 36, Take The Lead Women, Emerging Leaders of Phoenix Children’s Hospital, and the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network.
Anderson's daughter, Alexandra, was diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome, a rare neurodevelopmental disorder, at 15 months old. Inspired by her daughter, Anderson advocates for individuals with developmental disabilities. She is the Chair of the City of Phoenix Mayor’s Commission on Disability Issues, serves on the boards of United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona and the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation, and is the CEO and Founder of RareiTees for a Cure, an online clothing brand that supports rare disease research.
