New, enhanced fan experience awaiting Sun Devil Football fans

Arizona State University isn’t just entering a new era with its move to the Big 12. The fan experience for Sun Devil Football games this fall will be new and improved, as well.

That was a question asked by Ken Shropshire, CEO of the Global Sport Institute, who moderated a wide-ranging conversation with two prominent Black writers. Cerah Moren graduates with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics with a concentration in secondary education from the School of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences. The scholar-athlete also throws javelin for the ASU track and field team.



Sun Devil Battalion wins regional Ranger Challenge Competition, places 5th overall

This fall, Arizona State University’s Sun Devil Battalion participated in the Ranger Challenge Competition, a two-round varsity sport where Army ROTC teams from across the country compete in events that test mental and physical toughness. The team placed first in the regional round and fifth in the overall competition.

Sun Devils keep Territorial Cup for 5th straight year

Arizona State University beat the University of Arizona on Nov. 27, 38-15, keeping the Territorial Cup in Sun Devil territory for the fifth straight year in the annual rivalry game.

ASU tailgate-themed memorial means the world to family of Sun Devil Football superfan

Longtime Phoenix resident Jim West was one of Sun Devil Football’s biggest fans. He even had a custom-made 1957 Ford painted completely in ASU gold and maroon. So after he died at the age of 82, the West family decided the perfect way to honor his memory was a tailgate celebration outside Sun Devil Stadium.
