Walk to benefit American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among college students in the United States, claiming more than 36,500 lives each year. Help make suicide prevention a national priority by participating in the Out of the Darkness Campus Walk for Suicide Prevention on March 31.

Thousands of students nationwide will walk to prevent suicide and save lives. Proceeds benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Participation is free. All walkers are encouraged to raise donations.

Participants can register online at www.campuswalks.org for the event at Hayden lawn on the Tempe campus. Walk-up registration is from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on the day of the walk, with presentations from 9:30 to 10 a.m., and the walk from 10 a.m. to noon on March 31.

The event is sponsored by ASU Wellness, ASU Counseling Services and Active Minds at ASU. For more information, email wellness@asu.edu
