University Services changes its name
<p>University Services is changing its name to more accurately describe the services provided to the university community. The new name – Facilities Development and Management – represents the type of comprehensive services provided by Facilities Management, Capital Programs Management Group, Office of the University Architect, with support by Administrative Services and Business Operations. </p><separator></separator><p>In addition to the division’s name change, the departments of Facilities Management at Polytechnic campus and West campus will now report to Facilities Development and Management at the Tempe campus, along with the Downtown campus. This organizational reporting change supports ASU President Michael Crow’s initiative of one university in many places. At present the business processes will remain the same.</p><separator></separator><p>The Facilities Development and Management division will continue to provide the university community with the same level of services as it has in the past, just under a new name. The new name was effective March 1, with the reorganization effective May 3.
