University Club offers memberships to faculty, staff

The University Club offers ASU faculty and staff a chance to enjoy hospitality, social diversity and interaction in the heart of the Tempe campus.

The club, established in 1989, is a members-only association comprising an exclusive membership of current and retired faculty, staff and alumni, as well as corporate and community members.

Membership dues vary according to affiliation. For example, dues for faculty and staff are $16 per month after a one-time membership fee of $100. For ASU employees who join within six months of employment, the one-time membership fee is $25 in addition to the monthly $16 per month dues.

To become a member, an individual must submit a membership application, pay the membership one-time fee and pay monthly (or yearly) dues according to their membership category.

The membership application and dues structure are viewable on the club's Web site www.asu.edu/uclub.

Cuisine at the club is presented by Atlasta Catering and is available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday. The club's Bistro also offers selections from a full cash bar.

The club's atmosphere is an inviting setting for an array of different event needs, such as private dinners, meetings, retreats and receptions. The club's meetings rooms include flexible configuration setups, audio-visual equipment, a patio, a main dining room and an informal lounge.

Throughout the year, the club's event calendar features special events, such as social mixers, tailgate get-togethers, educational seminars, a Valentine's Day dinner, a Mother's Day brunch and more. Several times per semester, colloquia presented by well-established knowledge experts provide an alternative to dining elsewhere.
