Stanton recognized with community awards


Nicole France Stanton, faculty associate at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law, recently was recognized by two local business and civic organizations for her work in the Arizona community.

The Phoenix Business Journal honored Stanton at the 12th Annual Dynamic Women in Business Event on Feb. 21. The awards are given to women in Phoenix for their leadership, professional accomplishments and personal achievements.

On March 13, she received the 2013 Judge Learned Hand Emerging Leader Award from the American Jewish Committee, for outstanding leadership in the legal profession and her dedication to philanthropic and community endeavors.

The primary focus of Stanton’s practice includes defending professionals such as lawyers, accountants, insurance brokers and others in malpractice actions. She also practices in the area of lender liability, defending financial institutions.
