Sims one of the “Dealmakers of the Year,” says ‘The American Lawyer’


<p>Joe Sims, alumnus of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law's founding graduating class (1970) and a partner in Jones Day's Washington, D.C., offices, recently was selected as one of 25 &quot;Dealmakers of the Year&quot; by <em>The American Lawyer</em> magazine.</p><separator></separator><p>Sims and the other attorneys listed primarily had been selected as &quot;dealmakers&quot; for their work on public policy matters, bankruptcies, negotiating mergers and acquisitions, and for negotiating economic decisions with the federal government. <em>American Lawyer</em> selected Sims for his representation of the company that merged the XM and Sirius satellite radio companies.</p><separator></separator><p>Sims' practice with Jones Day has focused on mergers and acquisitions, antitrust and areas of law related to government regulation.
