Recognition Program seeks 2012 President's Awards applicants
ASU has committed to tackling the challenges before us in education, economic prosperity, sustainability, human rights, vibrant communities, personal health and the origins of the universe. If you are part of a dynamic team working on solutions that will create dramatic, positive change, you deserve to be recognized.
The annual President’s Awards, a part of ASU’s Employee Recognition Program, recognize and celebrate the achievements of ASU faculty and staff in four specific areas: innovation, collaboration, social embeddedness and sustainability. To apply for an award, submit the application form (available at www.asu.edu/recognition) before Jan. 12.
ASU President Michael Crow will recognize award recipients at a reception and award ceremony in April 2012. Each team will receive an award and each team member will receive an award certificate. The team’s accomplishments also will be publicized online and in ASU News.
Before applying, applicants are strongly encouraged to attend one of the Writers Briefings/Workshops held in November and December 2011. Dr. Shelly Potts and Associate Director Lenay Dunn of the University Office of Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness will teach attendees how to measure and report their results. Applicants also will receive tips on how to present information concisely and clearly so award examiners can easily review the submissions against the award criteria.
