Professor discusses digital 'cloud'


ASU's Dan Gillmor, director of the Knight Center for Digital Media Entrepreneurship and a professor of media and technology journalism, weighs in on social media and the trend of Internet-based computing, whereby shared servers are used to store its users' personal data.

Gillmor says that although you may keep a copy of all your data, only the host company has access to the growing web of relationships that users create online.
