Multi-tasking isn't effective
Researchers say multi-tasking may actually not be all that effective. "It's an illusion to think that one can actively and effectively complete two or more tasks simultaneously," says Angelo Kinicki, business professor. "Organizations would be better served to focus on encouraging employees to be "mindful' or "in the moment.'
