Mediation Workshop to be Held in Winslow


<p>MESA, Ariz. — The Arizona Agricultural Mediation Program will be conducting a FREE agriculture mediation education workshop/training at 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Aug. 4, at the Winslow Fire Station.</p><separator></separator><p>The workshop is intended to provide mediation information to farmers, ranchers, agribusiness representatives, forest service personnel, rural housing administrators and environmentalists on how to resolve conflicts through mediation services.</p><separator></separator><p>The workshop is being conducted by Arizona State University's Arizona Agriculture Mediation Program located at the Polytechnic campus and will focus on how to resolve disputes without costly court and legal involvement.</p><separator></separator><p>The workshops will bring in both local and government officials that handle disputes and will illustrate how this service can be used beneficially by people with concerns and potential legal considerations.</p><separator></separator><p>Typically a mediation case is concluded within two to four hours and satisfactory agreements and compromises are reached in more than 85 percent of the conflicts. A highly skilled mediator is assigned to each specific case. Conflicting parties are brought together in a neutral location where open discussion usually leads to a rapid resolution and agreement.</p><separator></separator><p>For further information about the free workshop in Winslow, contact Veronika Li at (480) 727-1470.
