Hinshaw to participate in international ADR conference
Clinical professor Art Hinshaw, director of the College of Law’s Lodestar Dispute Resolution Program, will participate in the conference, “Teaching Law School ADR Classes: Mediation, Negotiation, Arbitration, and the ADR Overview Course,” June 21-22 at Pepperdine School of Law in Malibu, Calif.
Hinshaw will facilitate the plenary panel discussion, “Fitting ADR into your Law School Curriculum,” with panelists Jim Coben, John Lande, Lela Love and Karen Tokarz. He also will sit on the panel, “Negotiation: Lying in Negotiations,” with Russell Korobkin and Andrea Schneider.

Hinshaw’s research and teaching interests lie in the field of alternative dispute resolution, primarily mediation and negotiation. His research bridges ADR theory and practice, and his teaching responsibilities include the Lodestar Mediation Clinic and Negotiation among other ADR courses. Hinshaw is active in the ADR community, having served on several academic and professional committees at the state and national levels. He also is a Senior Fellow at the Center for the Study of Dispute Resolution at the University of Missouri School of Law and is a contributor to Indisputably, the ADR Prof Blog.
