Gammage kicks off concert series

ASU Gammage is kicking off their Summer Concert Series at Memorial Union Stage by providing an up-close experience with some of today's hottest bands from Arizona. The free series kicks off June 5 with jazz, blues and funk by Steve Daniels.

For nine straight Tuesdays this summer from noon to 1 p.m., a new band will offer a diverse lineup of reggae, rock, funk, hip-hop and jazz for free. The series is presented by ASU Gammage and is sponsored by ASU Summer Sessions.

The complete series schedule includes:

• June 5 – Steven Daniels (jazz, blues and funk).

• June 12 – Drunken Immortals (rap and rock).

• June 19 – Playground Legends (rock and alternative).

• June 26 – Jeordie (folk and funk).

• July 3 – Crash Street Kids (rock and power pop).

• July 10 – Instrumental Band (rhythm and blues).

• July 17 – Mighty Six (jazz).

• July 24 – Rasta Farmers (reggae).

• July 31 – Energy Trio Jazz Band (jazz).
