Feller quoted on environmental blog

Professor Joe Feller was quoted in an environmental blog written by Stephanie Ogburn at High Country News on Oct. 30.

“Whither Wilderness?” is a blog for conservationists who, as Congress refuses to create wilderness, are turning to presidential action for help, according to Ogburn.

Feller spoke about the lack of involvement from the Bureau of Land Management in wilderness designations. He said this could be due in part to inaction at the state government level.

Feller teaches Water Law, Natural Resources Law and Property. Each spring, he leads law students on a field seminar to national forests, national parks and monuments, and other public lands in Northern Arizona to expose them to some of the people, places and issues involved in the implementation of natural resource laws. Feller is a faculty fellow in the the Center for Law, Science & Innovation.
