At 8:30 a.m. a blast was reported at Sun Devil Stadium on the ASU campus.
Officials at the scene report that there are 77 injuries, 19 of those critical. Thirty-nine fatalities have been reported.
Four urban search-and-rescue teams have been called to the scene by the Tempe Fire Department.
Everyone who was at the sporting events is advised to contact family members to let them know they are OK. Students also are asked to go to www.safeandwell.org and register themselves. This is the link to the American Red Cross disaster site where people can list themselves as safe, and those who are searching for people can check the site.
