College hosting national conference on dispute resolution


<p>Dispute-resolution scholars from around the country will have the opportunity to present their projects and get input from others who teach and do research in this important field at a conference hosted on Friday, Oct. 24, and Saturday, Oct. 25, by the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.</p><separator></separator><p>The 2008 AALS Dispute Resolution Section Works-in-Progress Conference will be held in Armstrong Hall on the law school campus.</p><separator></separator><p>&quot;The conference showcases a vast and impressive range of emerging work in the field, ranging from the impact of dispute resolution principles on free speech principles of deliberative democracy to plea bargaining strategies in criminal cases to the latest Supreme Court jurisprudence on the effect of arbitration clauses on statutory civil rights claims,&quot; said <a href="http://www.law.asu.edu/Apps/Faculty/Faculty.aspx?individual_id=5328">Art Hinshaw</a>, Director of the College's Lodestar Dispute Resolution Program.</p><separator></separator><p><span style="font-size: 9pt; color: black; font-family: Tahoma">Janie Magruder, <a href="mailto:Jane.Magruder@asu.edu"><font color="#0000ff">Jane.Magruder@asu.edu</font></a><br />(480) 727-9052 <br />Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law</span></p>
