Celebration of Cultures

MESA, Ariz. - Arizona State University at the Polytechnic campus will host an event that provides music and dance from African, Asian, European and Native American cultures. "Cultural Crossroads" brings together more than 20 artists who, through their music and dance, will present a view of culture and history that celebrates diversity, enhances intercultural awareness and embraces a broad definition of culture.

Performances include Gypsy/Arabic/Greek music and belly dancing, a four-time world champion Native American hoop dancer, Celtic musicians and dancers, Japanese sword dancers, and Kawambe-Omowale an African drum and dance group. An emcee will weave the program together, gently transporting the audience from one world to another.
