ASU's Wheeler explains beetle potential


Small animals, like insects, don’t have brains or brawn to rely on, so they tend to rely on talent to survive. As a result, human engineers are tapping these creatures for inspiration. The American burying beetle, “can find a dead mouse [which it eats and feeds, regurgitated, to its offspring] within an hour of its demise from two miles away," says Quentin Wheeler, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
