Students returning to the Tempe campus for the Fall 2012 semester were greeted by a new Arizona State University sign on the mall at the corner of University and College.
The School of Earth and Space Exploration and the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering share facilities in the newly completed Interdisciplinary Science and Technology Building 4, just south of the Biodesign Institute on the Tempe campus.
Palo Verde Beach, on the Tempe campus, is undergoing major improvements to the landscaping and patio areas between the residence halls, with construction scheduled to be completed later this month.
On the Polytechnic campus, the new Citrus Dining Pavilion was completed along with the Century Hall residence facility in time for the new semester.

The Verde Dining Facility on ASU’s West campus opened in time for the beginning of fall classes, along with the new Casa del Oro residence hall.

Students head for class along Palm Walk on ASU's Tempe campus as work continues on McCord Hall, a 129,000-square-foot addition to the W. P. Carey School of Business. The facility, scheduled for opening in June 2012, will feature 10 tiered amphitheater-style classrooms, 40 team study rooms, four flat configured classrooms, a career center, conference facilities, graduate student lounges and outdoor assembly areas.
Class break is a popular time for students to use the newly remodeled Computing Commons.

More than 14,000 Arizona vehicles have the plates, which also are known as Sparky plates. The plates cost $25, and $17 from each plate sold goes directly to the Alumni Association’s Medallion Scholarship fund, a comprehensive scholarship program that incorporates components of leadership, scholarship and service.
