ASU Softball climbs to No. 1 in polls

Arizona State has risen to No. 1 in various USA Today and ESPN softball polls.

The Arizona Republic reported: "Arizona State (37-4) is atop the USA Today/NFCA coaches poll for the first time in three years. ASU also is No. 1 in the ESPN.com/USA Softball poll. ... ASU moved up from No. 3 and has 15 first-place votes."

The Sun Devils play No. 9 UCLA this weekend at home. UCLA is the defending national champion.
