ASU offers safety forums

September 03, 2009

Fire safety and emergency preparedness are among topics that students, staff and faculty can learn more about from Sept. 8-10.

Information and training sessions Tuesday at the Polytechnic Student Union Ballroom C from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. will cover campus safety, fire prevention, emergency preparedness and AED, CPR and first-aid training during separate sessions.

Tempe campus events on Wednesday will cover the same subjects with open forums at 11 a.m. in the Memorial Union's Ventana Ballroom for students and at noon for faculty and staff in the same location. Members of the ASU community can learn about fire safety training, AED awareness and emergency preparedness at the Tempe forums.

Free pizza and beverages will be provided. West campus events on Thursday also cover safety, fire prevention, emergency preparedness, first aid and AED use from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University Center La Sala A ballroom.

RSVP to james.gibbs@asu.edu for the Tempe open forums.
