ASU hosts Earth Day event


<p>Earth Day is just one day out of 365, but earth-minded student groups at Arizona State University are taking the opportunity to celebrate and spread their message of sustainability.</p><separator></separator><p>“It’s all about transformation,” says Heather Hazzan, a student at ASU’s School of Sustainability and one of the organizers of the event.</p><separator></separator><p>Hazzan hopes the day’s activities will encourage participants to think and act more sustainably. With informative booths and demonstrations, speeches from State Representatives Ed Ableser and David Schapira, contests, prizes, a solar-powered concert, and a 5K race, the event offers a variety of ways to get people interested and involved.</p><separator></separator><p>The April 22 event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Hayden Lawn at ASU’s Tempe campus.
