ASU to honor veterans during Salute to Service celebration

American flags planted on ASU Tempe campus

In recognition of American servicewomen and men and their commitment, strength and selfless service to our country, Arizona State University is hosting a Salute to Service celebration, Nov. 3-14, in honor of Veterans Day.

The celebration will take place on all four ASU campuses and is one of the many ways in which ASU pays tribute to and supports the veteran community.

ASU is one of the country’s premier institutions for veterans. The university has been named a military-friendly school for six consecutive years by G. I. Jobs Magazine. The Military Times Magazine named ASU one of the nation’s colleges for veterans in its Best for Vets: College 2014 rankings.

Through the Pat Tillman Veterans Center, ASU has continued to expand services to support veterans and their dependents pursue their educational and career goals. The center provides information and referrals for a variety of resources, including academic and student support services, health and counseling services, disability resources, tutoring resources and career services.

The roster of events will include military appreciation football and basketball games, and a variety of events and activities hosted by students, faculty and staff. Tickets for Sun Devil Athletics events can be purchased here. Student admission to athletic events are free; tickets are available on first come, first serve basis.
