ASU Gammage launches new season of Military Family First Nights

October 12, 2012

ASU Gammage is set to launch its fourth season of Military Family First Nights where more than 100 Valley family members of deployed military personnel will receive free tickets to attend Broadway performances this season.

ASU Gammage has partnered with the National Guard and families will have the opportunity to see "Anything Goes," "The Addams Family" and "Memphis" and enjoy an exclusive post-show meet-and-greet with the cast.

Military Family First Nights are part of the US Airways Military Salute at ASU Gammage. ASU Gammage and US Airways share a commitment to veterans, active duty military and their families. The partnership allows our nation’s heroes and their families to see the best of Broadway each season. To date, the program has provided more than 2,000 tickets to military families, active duty military and veterans.

“ASU Gammage is honored to continue this program and to be able to open its doors to military families.  These families sacrifice so much for our country and it is our privilege to let them enjoy an evening at the theater together,” says Colleen Jennings-Roggensack, ASU Gammage executive director.

“With more than 1,000 veterans and active-duty service members employed at US Airways, it is very important for us to recognize the sacrifices and accomplishments of our service members and their families. We're proud to partner with ASU Gammage to support the Military Family First Nights as a way to say thank you to our dedicated service men and women for their distinguished service to our country”, says Kelly Balthazor, US Airways community relations manager.

Military Family First Nights are made possible in part by additional funding provided by the Arizona Lottery and The Broadway League.
