ASU coordinates Spring 2010 food drive

<p>Current economic times have forced many in our Valley community to seek out resources for basic needs such as food. As a result of the high demand, many of our Valley's food banks are running bare.</p><separator></separator><p>In the spirit of community, the ASU Commission on the Status of Women is coordinating a month-long food drive on all four campuses to benefit local charities including the Salvation Army, St. Mary's, and St. Vincent de Paul.</p><separator></separator><p>The drive, which runs fthrough March 24, seeks to collect canned food, dry goods, and other non-perishable food items. Additionally, many charities are in need of monetary donations – and every little bit helps. A donation of just $5 can feed a family of five for three days.</p><separator></separator><p>For additional information and drop off locations visit the <a href="http://asu.edu/csw">CSW website</a>. All donations will be counted as part of the "<a href="http://ASU4Food.org ">Territorial Food Cup Competition</a>" between Arizona State University and the University of Arizona.<br /><br /></p>
