Askland presents paper at Notre Dame


Andrew “Sandy” Askland, director of the College of Law’s Washington, D.C., Legal Externship Program, recently presented a paper on renewable energy at the Symposium: Green Technology: Legal, Ethical and Moral Considerations on March 21.

Askland presented "Breaking Up is Hard to Do: American Exceptionalism and the Transition to a Renewable Energy Future," and discussed the transition from fossil fuel to alternative energy through a malleable market model.

The Notre Dame Law School’s Journal of Law, Ethics, and Public Policy will publish Askland’s paper in its annual symposium issue.

Askland’s research interests include privacy, economics and the law, environmental ethics and bioethics and moral and political theory. He also is a member of the American Philosophical Association.
