Abbott serves as guest professor in Munich

Professor Kenneth Abbott, a Willard H. Pedrick Distinguished Research Scholar, was invited to be a guest professor in October at Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich.

Abbott was hosted by the Geschwister-Scholl Institut, home of the political science faculties at the university, where he taught a course called Global Governance for Sustainability.

“I had an interesting mix of students, some of whom were German, but many of whom were international students studying in Munich, from countries including England, Ireland, Thailand, Australia and France,” Abbott said.

A leading scholar in international law, Abbott’s teaching and research focus on the interdisciplinary study of international law and international relations, including public and private institutions, environmental issues, development policy, global health, and international trade and economic law.
