With a new school year right around the corner, the ASU Alumni Association is once again gearing up to provide Sun Devil Teacher Packs to K–12 alumni educators around the world.
These complimentary packs are stocked full of maroon-and-gold classroom supplies, ASU-themed spirit items and other educational resources. With the program now in its seventh year, the Alumni Association assembles Sun Devil Teacher Packs to thank teachers for educating and inspiring students across the globe.
“The ASU Alumni Association and its university partners are proud to recognize and support our Sun Devil teachers,” said Christine K. Wilkinson, president and CEO of the association.
“Providing classroom materials and resources is a way for us to honor the international impact of our alumni educators and their enthusiasm to make a difference in students’ lives. We are thrilled to celebrate our Sun Devil teachers, and we know the next generation of community leaders is in strong, capable hands.”
The Sun Devil Teacher Packs program first launched in 2017 and is continuously growing, with 4,534 packs landing on the desks of teachers in 2023. The kits reach both domestic and international alumni, spreading Sun Devil pride far and wide in all 50 states and 14 countries.
This year, the Alumni Association aims to supply more than 5,000 packs to teachers worldwide. Specific items in this year’s pack include an ASU pennant, classroom door hanger, notepad, Sparky sticker book, pencil pouch and pitchfork zipper pull.
As a way to further appreciate alumni educators, five golden tickets will be randomly placed in Sun Devil Teacher Packs this year, giving teachers a chance to win a special ASU flag for their classroom.
