ASU FIDM recently hosted Fashion in the Park, an informal evening gathering for members of both the Arizona State University community and the FIDM community in Los Angeles.

Held in Grand Hope Park in downtown Los Angeles, the event showcased designs by ASU FIDM faculty, worn by professional models who mingled with the attendees.

Steven Tepper, dean of the Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, offered a welcome, followed by Melita Belgrave, associate dean for culture and access in the Herberger Institute, and Dennita Sewell, director of ASU FIDM. Faculty designers were on hand during the evening to talk about their work, and DJ Peezy provided the music.

“It was absolutely wonderful to see students so directly engaged with the work of ASU FIDM faculty, seeing firsthand the diverse wealth of knowledge and experience from which they will be learning,” said Remington Reble, program manager for ASU FIDM.
