Women's golf looks to Wildcat Invitational


The third-ranked Arizona State women's golf team travels to instate rival University of Arizona to compete in the Wildcat Invitational, Feb. 25-27. The three-round tournament will be held at the par-71, 6,238-yard Arizona National Golf Club.

ASU's victory last year at the Wildcat Invitational secured them the no. 1 ranking in the nation and was a part of the Sun Devils four straight tournament victories last season. ASU has won the Wildcat Invitational two years in a row.

The 16-team field features 11 teams ranked in the current Golfweek top-25 rankings. The field includes: Arizona, Arizona State, Auburn, BYU, California, Duke, New Mexico, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, Stanford, Texas, UCLA, UNLV, USC, Vanderbilt, and Washington.

The line-up for the Sun Devils includes: junior Azahara Munoz, sophomore Anna Nordqvist, sophomore Juliana Murcia, junior Jennifer Osborn, and graduate student Brooke Todare. Senior Camila Sola and sophomore Liisa Kelo are playing as individuals.
