Williams named First Team All-Pac-10 by Phil Steele

Senior Wide Receiver <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/mcgaha_chris00.html">C… McGaha</a>, senior linebacker <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/nixon_mike00.html">Mike Nixon</a> and freshman linebacker <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/burfict_vontaze00.html… Burfict</a> earned Second Team honors, while senior offensive lineman <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/lauvao_shawn00.html">S… Lauvao</a>, senior defensive end <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/davis_dexter00.html">D… Davis</a> and junior punter <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/hankins_trevor00.html"… Hankins</a> were named to the Third Team. Williams also earned Third Team honors as a punt returner.</p><separator></separator><p>In addition, Burfict was named First Team All-Freshmen Team by Steele. The Corona, Calif. product was named the Defensive Freshmen of the Year by the Pac-10. Burfict is one of four student-athletes from the Pac-10 to make the First Team.</p><separator></separator><p>Williams (Scottsdale, Ariz.) made a career-high 57 receptions for 815 yards and eight touchdowns, all team highs. He had four games with over 100-yards receiving this season. Williams was named Second Team All-Pac-10 by the conference as a punt returner thanks to his 23 returns for 229 yards.</p><separator></separator><p>Burfict, a true freshman from Corona, Calif., started the last nine games of the season for the Sun Devils and had an immediate impact. He ranked second on the team in tackles with 69 stops, 40 solo, including 7 tackles for loss and 2 quarterback sacks, to go along with 5 passes broken up and 2 fumbles forced and recovered.<!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
