Two gym Devils qualify for regionals


The Arizona State Women's gymnastics team will send two Gym Devils to Regionals this season.

Beaté Jones qualified for regionals as an all-around competitor. Jones competed in the all-around in eight of eleven meets this season. Her top two all-around scores this season were 39.225 and 39.050. Her solid scores on every event led the Gym Devils to count on her consistency through the season. Jones' season-high scores this season were a 9.900 on vault, a 9.825 on bars, 9.800 on beam, and a 9.850 on floor.

Junior Madison Snowden qualified as an event specialist and will compete on the floor exercise as an individual. Snowden has been a tremendous contributor for the Sun Devils on the floor exercise performing on the event in every meet of the season. She scored a 9.900 and above four times, tallying a 9.925 as her season-high.

Jones and Snowden will attend the regionals hosted by University of Oklahoma on Saturday, April 2 at 4 p.m. CT.
