Swimming and diving falls against BYU


The Arizona State swimming and diving teams fell in their contest to Brigham Young University. The men's team dropped their match 154-88 while the women fell 151-92 in their second meet of the season. The women are now 1-1 while the men are 0-2.

Xavier Mohammed had a huge day for the Sun Devils as the sophomore from London won three events. Mohammed first took the 200 free in 1:42.50. He followed that up with a 4:04.69 performance in the 400 IM and also won the 500 free in 4:35.49.

Other Sun Devil winners on the men's side include Nolan Ruane, who took first in the 100 free in 47.06 and Max Laney who won the 200 back with a time of 1:54.43. On the women's team, Jordyn Green and Paige Schultz each gathered wins as well. Green took the 200 breast in 2:19.86, while Schultz won the 200 free in 1:52.78.

The Sun Devils host UNLV and Washington State next weekend.
