February 23, 2010

Arizona State senior Braxton Marquez and junior Phillip Francis qualified Monday for the 2010 Waste Management Phoenix Open held at the TPC Scottsdale Championship Course. The Arizona State golfers join professionals Bret Guetz of Fresno, Calif., and Ben Fox of Sherman Oaks, Calif. as the winners of Monday's qualifying round.

Francis and Marquez will be playing in one of the PGA Tour's premier event with fellow Sun Devils Chez Reavie, Billy Mayfair, Pat Perez, Jeff Quinney and 2005 Masters and 2006 PGA Champion Phil Mickelson.

Francis tees off on the TPC Scottsdale Championship course 10th hole at 8:49 a.m. and Marquez will tee off at 1:29 p.m., also at hole 10.
