Sun Devils picked to finish fourth
The Sun Devil football team has been picked to finish fourth in the Pacific-10 Conference in a pre-season poll of West Coast media members who regularly cover the league. ASU is coming off a 7-6 season in which they made their third consecutive bowl appearance, a 41-24 loss to Hawai'i in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl. Defending Pac-10 champion USC was a unanimous selection to win their fifth straight conference crown, garnering all 39 first place votes. The Sun Devils and Trojans will play on November 22nd at Sun Devil Stadium, live on ESPN at 6 p.m. in Tempe.
California, who visits Tempe on October 27th, was picked to finish second after sharing the Pac-10 title with USC in 2006. The Media poll has correctly selected the Pac-10 Champion in 24 of 46 previous polls, including the last seven years in a row.
