Sun Devil golfers command attention at World Amateurs


<p> Three members from the Sun Devil Men's Golf team were chosen to compete in the 2008 World Amateur Championships this week in Adelaide, Australia. This event brought together the best amateur players from around the world to represent their countries and shot at the Eisenhower trophy. The Royal Adelaide Golf Club and The Grange Golf Club hosted the event where 65 countries competed.</p><separator></separator><p>ASU junior and Sweden native <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/kennegard_jesper00.html"… Kennegard</a> shot a 1-under 289 (70-72-68-79) over the four day tournament and finished tied for 8th. Kennegard also led his Swedish team to a third place finish (-6) behind champion Scotland (-20) and second place United States (-11). Representing Germany, Stephen Gross finished tied for 21st with a 3-over 293 (77-70-70-76).
