Immunization for the Masses

August 20, 2007

The College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation is gearing up for the school year by offering tuberculosis screening to all students, staff and faculty at the downtown campus ASU Health Center. The Center also will be offering MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), pertussis (whooping cough) and meningitis immunizations. In November the Center will offer flu vaccines.  Located on the first floor of the College of Nursing & Healthcare Innovation building at 500 N. Third Street, Suite 155, the center serves the healthcare needs of the ASU Downtown Phoenix campus, making healthcare available within three to four blocks of any Downtown Phoenix campus facility. Students, faculty and staff from any ASU campus, as well as the public are able to access quality and affordable healthcare provided by certified nurse practitioners while studying or working at the downtown campus.

The healthcare provider staff includes clinicians who specialize in family practice, women’s health and behavioral/mental health care. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday. The ASU Health Center accepts most staff and faculty health insurance (please call to check on specific carriers) as well as the new Chickering Student Health Plan. Those without insurance may pay for services by check, credit card, cash or Sun Card.
